Lauren joins us from her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. She pursued her bachelor’s degree at the University of Hartford in Hartford, CT where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology and minor in chemistry. There, she began research in renal physiology and lead neurotoxicity. After graduating, Lauren worked as a clinical research assistant in the Division of Neurological Surgery at The Ohio State University. In 2022, after completing three laboratory rotations in the Molecular and Environmental Toxicology graduate program, Lauren joined the Hernandez lab to complete her PhD concentrating in radiation toxicology.
